I will stamp all over 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
